DESCRIPTION:Join Dance Division (follow us on IG\n@dancedivision.to)\nfor our fourth party at Wiggle Room\, a Toronto-based dance series. \nGracing the decks:\nSam I Am\nThe daughter of acclaimed jazz musician Jeremy Green\, Sam Green was born in Canada to a family of musicians\, writers and visual artists.\nShe began to study piano at age four\, but found a lifelong passion at age seven when she first picked up a guitar.\nClassically trained but raised on a healthy diet of Ozzy Osbourne\, Iron Maiden\, Children of Bodom and Forteresse\,\nshe has been performing live for almost 20 years across classical\, blues\, rock and extreme metal genres. \nAlways seeking out high-impact\, sensory-thrilling beats and thumping bass\, she launched her performing career as a DJ in Toronto in 2024.\nStylistically she ranges from the warm and bouncy tech house (like at her favourite place\, Club Space Miami)\,\nto the darker and more visceral stylings of techno and hard dance that come alive at witching hour in nondescript industrial basements. \nHer goal is simple: to counterbalance the stress\, apathy\, absurdity\, and powerlessness of modern life with immersive\, heavy music —\nreigniting the art of cutting loose. \nSoundCloud |\nInstagram \n\nWaheed T.O\nWaheed.TO has been DJing in Toronto’s underground music scene and releasing mixes online for over a decade.\nGrowing up in Toronto’s inner city\, he was exposed to a wide variety of genres and international styles.\nHe has witnessed and contributed to Toronto’s underground rave days since the mid-90’s. \nWaheed brings out these influences in his sets\, spanning from Deep to Tech House with splashes of Trance and Progressive.\nHis love for Techno comes alive when he performs as NūR Techno. \nAs an early winner of Comfort Zone’s DJ contest\n(#CZDJContest002)\,\nWaheed crafts sets that balance underground sounds with storytelling.
