Built-in 1930\, she first set sail out of Germany as a cargo ship and was originally named Wilfried. In 1960\, she was renamed after KAywe\, JAn\, and MAria\, the two sons and wife of its Captain. She has since travelled the world. In 1999\, she found her more recent home in Toronto Harbour.
