A need for experimentation and exploration of new sounds and ways of making music- are some of the creative forces driving NUNI, the Toronto-based DJ and producer. Taking inspiration from a variety of genres, such as house, garage, techno and drum and bass, NUNI keeps you on your feet and takes you on a journey through sound.

Loxxe (Laura) is an emerging Toronto-based DJ and producer who brings bold, energetic and dynamic sets to any party she plays. Her sound is techno at the core but also has versatile layers of deep house, melodic progressive, nu-disco and retro wave. A former bass guitarist and classical pianist, Loxxe took up DJing after living in Osaka, Japan, inspired by the city’s energy and intensity. She frequently draws inspiration from 8-bit retro gaming culture in her selections and productions. To date, she has shared decks with Kevin Saunderson, Dusky, Justin Cudmore, Honey Soundsystem, Cooper Saver, The Librarian, Osunlade, Mia Wallace, Hiroko Yamamura, Kenny Glasgow, Antwon Faulkner, and Matt and Mark Thibideau.

Vanessa B. Rieger (VJ VBR) was born and raised in downtown Toronto, Graduating from OCADU in 2009 with a degree in Drawing and Painting Rieger combines her skills in fine art, woodworking, set design, analog video and performance which helps her develop a multidisciplinary art practise that gives her audience an immersed A/V experience. Some of her creative inspirations include haunted houses, sci-fi movies, practical special effects, VHS and cyberpunk.
