Camp WiGGLY is a private campout celebration with awesome friends, tons of arts, and bouncy, wiggly beats. Our 8th annual gathering, formerly known as Playground, will be held outside Peterborough.

Location: Camp WiGGLY will be in a massive protected forest with rolling hills near Peterborough, Ontario. This magical land features a beautiful gathering area nestled at the bottom of a mystical valley. Clearings and some forest areas are designated for camping (maps are available on-site). Please respect the forest as it is a protected natural habitat. The exact location will only be released to ticket holders one day before the event.

Genres of Music to Expect: Bouncy & Wiggly—one element that sets this event apart from all other local ones is the music. It is one of the only local festivals that caters to house heads: Deep Jackin, Melodic, Progressive, Tech, and everything in between for House music. Although we are a house music-driven event, we also feature a variety of other genres, such as Techno, DnB, Chillout, and Psychedelic. We have tons of awesome lighting, projections, lasers, and other goodies tantalizing all your senses.

Preparation

Food: Bring your own. We are working on confirming a vendor. Food vendors will sell a variety of snacks and meals, including vegan options. You may bring your food, stove, etc., but no individual fires are allowed.

Free Drinking Water: Bring your water bottle to fill up.

Leave No Trace:

  • No glass (pour your drinks into containers before arrival)
  • No cigarette butts on the ground

Please take it upon yourself to clean up anything left around, even if left by someone else.

Wiggly Express Bus Option

Please pack light. Your gear will be stored on the same standard school bus bench as you, next to you.

Pickup Stop South: Esplanade, conveniently located just East of Yonge St. (a mere 2 minutes from Union Station). Departs at 1 pm sharp; we kindly ask you to arrive between noon and 12:30 pm (please do not arrive at 12:50 pm).

Pickup Stop North: Scarborough Town Center by the big Cinema. Departs at 2 pm sharp; arrive by 1:40 pm.

Return: The bus leaves Camp Wiggly at 7 pm on Sunday and drops off at the pickup stops.

Arrival Procedures

At ticket purchase, all attendees must agree to the waiver and may need to undergo a COVID screening upon arrival. If you or a close one have symptoms like sore throat or fever, please stay home. Looking forward to seeing you at the next party!

Parking: Included at no extra cost, but please carpool to reduce the required spots and be mindful of the environment. Trailers/Campers are OK at no additional cost but must remain in the designated RV parking area.

Gear Drop-off: It is about a 10-minute walk to the furthest area. After gear drop-off, cars must park in the designated parking area. We highly recommend bringing a wagon or bicycle, as the pathways can be hilly at parts.

RV/Trailer & Sleeping in Your Car: You may sleep in your car, but the vehicle must remain in the designated RV/Trailer & Car sleeping area. Please make arrangements with us by emailing wigglyevents@gmail.com so we know how many trailers to expect.

Washrooms: Portable washrooms are available. No showers on-site.

Individual campfires are NOT allowed, but we will have a big communal fire.

Schedule

Friday: Gates open at 2 pm. Groovy Deep Beats end at 2 am, followed by live music hosted by Aurorah until 5 am with a live jam (bring an instrument to join).

Saturday: Bouncy Wiggly Daytime beats that progress in tempo as the sun sets, and we dance under the moon for the all-night/late-night dancing.

Sunday: Morning beats followed by the infamous Sunday Afternoon party ending at 6 pm. Packing up and heading back home—everyone MUST be out by Sunday night.

Applications are currently only open to non-audio performers/workshops.

Wiggle Wiggle—Congratulations to the happy couple on this particular occasion. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and dancing together. They are very excited to share this beautiful weekend with everyone.

WiGGLE RESPONSIBLY—We have a strict code of conduct and reserve the right to refuse anyone at any time. All Wiggly Events are Safer Dance Spaces. We take this very seriously. We encourage everyone not to hesitate to bring to our attention anything you think that we should be made aware of, such as harassment, violation of personal space, solicitation or use of controlled substances, over-intoxicated behaviour, or anything else that may pose a risk or discomfort to you or others. You may use the safe word BANANA; ask any staff for a Banana, and we will direct you to a secure, quiet space. Our security staff are in marked clothing. Our team and event hosts, such as Takin, Lindsay Fay, Nour Bawab, Tanya Hunter, Tyler Hill, and Christina Barron, are all available.
