On Friday, December 8th, Melony J & Ben Cormier will bring you a night to remember with a bangin’ blend of techno, house, and booty-shakin’ bass! So, grab your most outrageous or mischievous wig and get ready to hit the dance floor kicking moves to these birthday beats. Let’s get WIGGY with it!

Simon Atkinson is bringing his talents from Brighton, England, to play for Wigapalooza!! Melanie met Simon in Sydney, Australia, in 1997, and he is one of the reasons she started DJing. What a great birthday present! Simon has been DJing for nearly 40 years and has played with Eddie Richards, Derrick May, Andrew Weatherall, Colin Dale, Terry Francis, Mr C, and Darren Emerson, to name a few. The Brighton-based DJ plays underground House Music and has a track record of innovative sets. He can mix up House with a hint of techno, creating a genuinely beguiling sound, one of the secrets to his longevity. Simon was a consistent resident for legendary parties in the early days of British house music, such as Dr Atomic The Positive Sound System, and played for events such as Wiggle and Kerfuffle. He has played for festivals worldwide and several times at Fabric in London, including Terry Francis’ big 50th birthday blowout. Enjoy the renowned sound of Simon Atkinson as we enter his journey of mesmeric rhythmic tracks.
Shoe Box
Shoe Box are the formidable duo MTM and Freaky G. The two came together in 2017, immediately vibing, blending seamlessly, bringing hype to each other’s sound. Since then, ShoeBox has been throwing Electric Jungle Gym (EJG) parties, consisting of the summer Electric Jungle Gym 2-day event (5x) and the Nautical Adventure barge party on Toronto Island (2x), as well as Covid lockdown live streams. Come and experience their rhythmic vibe as they open Wigapalooza and kickstart our party in motion!
MTM
A proficient DJ in his own right, MTM’s passion for music exploded during the late 2000s when this powerhouse’s enthusiasm for the booming beat led him to get behind the decks. You cannot miss MTM’s presence, bringing excitement and emotion to the dance floor. MTM picked up his first controller in 2013 and has been obsessed with finding the most fascinating tracks to captivate you under his spell. Attending multiple underground parties, beach parties, and late bedroom jam sessions led to his 2018 break-out year playing at Beats and Treats.
Freaky G
Gavin has been bringing us funky beats since the late 1990s and kicking up dance floors across southern Ontario. With 25 years of experience, Gavin brings us consistent blistering grooves. He has played at various parties and venues, including Wild Indigo (TO), Fez Batik (TO), Purple Room (KW), Van Gogh’s Ear (GU), Club Abstract (KW), Club Renaissance (KW), to name a few. With his musical maturity, Freaky G brings a genuine, passionate energy and an exciting creative edge that will not let you leave the dance floor.
Cee Dove
If you have been to some of the Beats & Treats parties, you are familiar with DJ CeeDoves ass shaking beats! Hailing from Toronto, DJ Cee Dove‘s House Music experience spans back to the early 90’s. Over the years, she’s developed a unique mixing style, rocking dance floors all over Toronto with her original hip-hop roots blended with funky tech house beats. Her intimate knowledge and superior selection drive high-energy sets, focusing on the warm sounds of true House Music. Playing alongside Toronto’s most talented Underground House DJs, Cee has her finger on the pulse of what’s hot and delivers a Fresh and Funky program for every appearance. With an unmatched sexy style, Cee Dove sets the mood for unforgettable nights. For the true House Music enthusiast, you will not want to miss this force of a lady!
